Jonathan A. Singer, D. D. S., M.S.

Dr. Jeff, has been serving the Hanover-Gettysburg, PA area since 1982. With his son Dr. Jon Singer joining him in practice, the orthodontic team has the ultimate in providing quality orthodontic care.  A combination of experience and contemporary ideas provides our patients with the best experience possible with the latest proven techniques.

Dr. Jon received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA.  He was an all American lacrosse player for the Diplomats and we are proud to boast, one of the few Academic All-Americans in the country.   From there, he spent the next four years at the University of Maryland Dental School, fine-tuning his skills in dentistry and preparing him for a career in orthodontics.   His years at the University of Maryland Dental School earned him the distinction of superior knowledge in the area of Oral Pathology and he was highly regarded by his teachers and fellow students. From there, his education took him to Temple University Kronberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, where he received his Master of Science in Orthodontics.  His desire to know "why" is greatly enhanced by his useful knowledge of computers and research.

Dr. Jon was trained by the pioneers in Invisalign treatment and has considerable experience with this relatively new technology.  His knowledge of Invisalign adds a new dimension to our practice since he brings more than a weekend of training in this field.

Dr. Jon is married to Amy and they are residents of Hanover, PA.  Their enthusiasm to become part of the Hanover community is driven by their desire to bring up their two daughters, Syndey and Caroline in a smaller town.  Dr. Jon and Amy have interests in sports, Nature, and family and see Hanover as an ideal place to raise a family and to live.

Dr. Jeff received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Maryland at College Park in 1972 where he met his wife Sharon, a native of Baltimore. He earned his DDS degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C., in 1977. Dr. Singer graduated from the orthodontic residency program at Georgetown University School of Dentistry with a master's degree in 1979 and is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics since 1989. He has voluntarily re-certified with the American of Board of Orthodontics in 2006. He is an Invisalign certified provider and has special interest in second molar replacement therapy, facial aesthetics, indirect bonding and state-of-the-art orthodontic techniques.

Dr. Singer is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists, the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists, and the Hanover-Gettysburg Dental Society.

He is twice past president of the Hanover-Gettysburg Dental Society and presently sits on the executive board of the Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists. He serves as a mentor to young orthodontists starting their careers in orthodontics.

Dr. Singer is married to his wife of 42 years, Sharon, and has three children, Eric, Jon, and Kevin (the outfield). With long-time interest in baseball as a player, coach, and Commissioner of Youth Baseball, Dr. Singer has interest in making youth sports safe, enjoyable, and organized for children. He was instrumental in developing a Stallion League for teens ages 16-17 who otherwise would not be able to play organized baseball.

In his free time, he enjoys golfing and fishing, especially with his family and friends. He also enjoys lecturing to residents at various orthodontic training programs and enjoys meeting monthly with his orthodontic study group, which he has done for the past 31 years.

Dr. Singer is committed to providing the highest standard of care. His practice takes pride in using state-of-the-art techniques in a caring environment. "Caring orthodontics requiring excellence" has been the office motto and is his mission. After 37 years in orthodontics, he still has the same enthusiasm for the profession and practice as he did when he first started practice. With his son Dr. Jon in the practice, he feels the ultimate in orthodontic treatment can be delivered and experienced by his patients.
